The airborne recorder MC-61 (1F01-B) is designed for recording speech from the outputs of radio receivers or STC and autonomous recording from laryngophones of type LA-5 or a subscriber's type A-2. Aircraft recorder MC-61.
In diference from the MC-61 recorder by the design of the recording apparatus and the scheme of its connection to the power network, and is intended for installation in an armored casing. Recording of speech on the tape recorder is made on a wire sound carrier of type 5.4 GOST 18834-83 with a diameter of 0.05 mm2. The duration of continuous recording is at least 5.5 hours. The MC-61 recorder has a remote control at a distance of up to 10 m, and MC-61B up to 60 m. The tape recorder uses the principle of magnetic recording of sound with high-frequency bias.
The erasure of the previous recording is carried out automatically by a high-frequency magnetic field (about 30 kHz) created in the working gap of the erasing head. The recording apparatus of the MC-61 recorder is structurally designed as a separate unit in which a draw mechanism with cassettes, automation elements and a magnetic head unit, the recording amplifier circuit board, the circuit board of the self-timer circuit.
