Air-to-air radiators are located inside the IL-76 aircraft.

The radiator provides cooling of the air after the blowers with minimal pressure loss from the side of hot and cold air. Large losses from the cold air lead to an increase in the resistance of the aircraft, to a decrease in the flight speed and to an increase in fuel consumption. It works in conditions of high pressure drops and temperatures. Air-to-air radiators are made of copper, silver and aluminum alloys.
